Joe Rankin-Costello has cemented a position in Blackburn’s Under-23 team and has already signed his first professional contract, aged just 17. The midfielder has gone from strength to strength since moving from Manchester United’s academy as a youth, to becoming a standout player in Blackburns’ development squad campaign. Joe has earned a reputation as a goal-scoring midfielder, completing a successful conversion from his early career as a defender.

His ability to adapt to any situation is still exhibited however, as he has played in a number of different positions for Blackburn as and when required, including full-back, holding midfielder, attacking midfielder and featuring in wide roles. Sancho has already earned the opportunity to train under City manager Pep Guardiola, joining the first team in their training sessions, despite being just 16 years old. Since, he has continued to impress across a number of competitions, achieving a goal scoring ratio of almost a goal-a-game.

Aside from his impressive goal scoring record, Jadon has also registered a number of assists. It is more than a case of being in the right place at the right time, as Sancho has demonstrated an extraordinary ability to dribble past his opponents and take them out of the game. This results in a shooting opportunity for himself, or alternatively draws out another defender, creating dangerous space for his teammates.
